About Me
I am a veteran in my late 50s, deeply committed to my country. While I do not align myself with any particular political party or subscribe strongly to religious beliefs, I value caring about the world around me. Though I am far from perfect, my concern for others and my community is genuine. I believe in the foundational American values that have shaped this nation. The reason I started this blog is because I have witnessed widespread hypocrisy, corruption, arrogance, and a lack of dedication to both community and country. The phrase “We the people” holds significant meaning for me. Individualism is vital, but it helps build a collective society. Liberty serves to protect the people and individualism, while justice safeguards the individual, ultimately strengthening the country.
Purpose and Content of the Blog
This blog serves as a platform not only to discuss the core values of the United States but also to explore a variety of other topics within this context. Sometimes the conversation may veer off into tangents or appear unrelated, and that is intentional. Regardless of the subject matter, the central theme will always circle back to what makes—or should make—this country great.
Writing Style and Expression
The articles here will be written with a mix of seriousness, sarcasm, satire, and, hopefully, humor. At times, I may come across as angry—and truthfully, I am, as I believe many people in this country should be. However, anger is a valid emotion. The important thing is how it is expressed. I hope this blog will become a productive outlet for me to share my feelings, not just anger but a range of emotions.
Expectations for Discussion
To be clear, I am not a scholar or an expert in any of the topics discussed here; these are simply my personal views. I will refrain from using obscenities in my articles and comments and expect all discussions to remain respectful and free from offensive language or direct insults. While disagreements are welcome, I will moderate comments only if they contain obscenities. My hope is that no comments will need to be removed. I will not censor anyone based on their opinions or positions.
